History:
Tidal wave
Theres no escaping from the wave
It's gonna crash down
On the shores of mighty Kingston
countless scores of dead will haunt the coastOne-Ayed Wilson was born amidst the filth and squalor of the fish market of mid 1680s Kingston. His father was an unknown corsair and his mother, a filthy dockside whore.
In the summer of 1692, a tidal wave ravaged the town of Kingston, Jamaica, obliterating his home and killing his mother. With his skull crushed under the wreckage, the child should have died??but he did not die.
Wilson's early years was spent among the wreckage of the town, all he knew was misery. With no family he had to scavenge for a living. By the age of six he had amassed a small collection of trinkets and treasure collected from the hulks of ships left in the tsunami?s wake. At seven Wilson opened a portside stall where he would sell his wares to passing sailors and townsfolk for good prices and quickly saved enough money to buy himself a small dog, which he named Lady.
Ever the budding entrepreneur, Wilson trained his dog to dance and perform adorable little tricks for his customers? while the young scallywag raided the contents of there coin purses.
The time spent by the docks lead Wilson to his first obsession, the stealing of ships figureheads. By the age of 12 there were a grand total of 27 figureheads in Wilson's collection. The 28th figurehead marked a sad transition in the young boy?s life as during its liberation, he lost his childhood companion Lady at the hands of the local Thieves Guild, from whom she had been helping Wilson to steal all their trade. The sorrow (and loss of income) caused Wilson to withdraw even more from the outside world and led him to find escape in the jungle. It was here that he met his first true friend Ben Joe, an escaped slave.
Ben Joe was a wild man with a four-foot mottled and dreaded beard and a gift for playing stringed instruments. For over two years Wilson and Ben lived together in the jungle and recruited several more escaped slaves into their pack. With their numbers soon in double figures Ben Joe decided it was time to free the slaves of the island and devised a plan for the upcoming festival. The slave population on the island was so high that their number greatly outweighed that of the colonists. Overwhelming odds, when combined with the tactful torture, sodomy and butchery of the slave owners, were enough for their plan to succeeded. Wilson's intimate knowledge of the docks proved invaluable to the newly liberated slaves when they stole several vessels from the harbour and set to sea on their mission to attack slave ships and free their captives. Wilson, now a young man of 15, found his world blossom with adventure.Wilson stayed with the slaves for five years, during which Wilson was trained in the art of swordplay, but learnt that the sharpest weapon in his arsenal was his lyrical wit. Under the guidance of Ben Joe he became a master balladeer, and wrote tales about their adventures on the high seas.
He gained local fame in Tortuga's inns where he finally parted ways with his slave friends. For three years Wilson roamed between the ports performing his famed shanties. He sang in bars and brothels for all who would pay but he also found himself with a longing for adventure and mischief
To this end he left port on the first galleon he could secure passage on and began his journey to become the most renowned, most feared and, above all the most outrageous pirate in history.
